Make energy flexibility
accessible to everyone.

Energy flexibility shouldn't be limited to utilities and industrial sites. It should be available to small businesses, and ordinary households too. NODI is power to the people. A simple life hack for the ordinary citizen. At societal scale, it’’s a new energy network unlocking grid capacity for the next wave of electrification.

The grid isn’t short of ambition.   It’s short of flexibility.

Data centres, EV charging, renewables, heat pumps, and AI all increase demand for electrical capacity. Our grid was built for peaks. It often sits underused and moments later, the local network is constrained. The real challenge isn’t how much energy we produce, but how unevenly it’s stored, used, and distributed. NODI solves this by bringing flexible storage into existing homes and businesses.

Deployment is the bottleneck.

Traditional battery storage is slow to roll out because it behaves like infrastructure: surveys, installers, fixed wiring, wall space, permissions, and large upfront purchases. NODI behaves like a product. Plug it in, that’s it. It’s as simple as using a kettle. That way, we turn everyday sockets into an energy network.

Co-Founder

Second-time industrial tech founder with a decade of experience across energy, climate, and policy. Holds a BA in Political Science from Brown and an MSc in Climate Innovation from LSE. Former NCAA Division I fencer, now taking a stab at the grid.

Borong Hu
Co-Founder

Serial founder, researcher, and investor in energy tech. Holds a PhD in power electronics from Warwick and was a postdoc at Cambridge, with 60+ papers, IEEE awards, EPSRC and RAEng grant funding. Built power conversion systems for AI data centers and one of the world's largest offshore wind turbines, and led R&D collaborations with world-leading industrial partners. Now solving the most difficult energy challenges in the AI era.
